James 4:10 NIV
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Throughout scripture, God is always calling us to humbly submit to Him. It is only in full surrender to God that we find true peace and joy. It is in knowing that in that surrender we are in God’s hands and He is able to carry out His will for our lives through us. We won’t always understand what He’s doing. We won’t always see the outcome that He has in mind. But we can ALWAYS trust that it is for our good and for His glory. God’s love for us is infinitely deeper than we can possibly imagine. He knows everything about us. He knows the darkest parts of our hearts and He still loves us and wants to work in us and through us in ways we couldn’t even dream of.
David, a young shepherd boy who spent his days singing songs about God and protecting his flock never dreamed he would one day be King of the nation of Israel. But God had bigger plans for this boy. Much bigger than simply a shepherd. He used David to do what the entire army of Israel was unable to do. He took down the Philistine giant Goliath through David, armed only with a sling an a stone. He made David King.
God created us and He loves us. He wants the very best for us. Don’t settle for mediocrity. Even if you attain the highest status and gain more money than you could imagine, it still pales in comparison to what God can do with and through your life. The best dreams of the world cannot even hope to match up to the dreams of God.
Humble yourself before The Lord. He is Lord! He has great plans and dreams for you. He knows what He’s doing. Best of all, the creator of the entire universe loves you and wants the absolute best for you. Humble yourself and submit to Him today.
Confess Jesus as The Lord and God that He is, believe in your heart that the Father raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved in His holy name.
Humble yourself before God. Let Him dream for you. Nothing is impossible for Him. He is God.
